QUICK START

Your first session with Prism

Prism by GEXfreak opens on a QQQ chart with the key options levels drawn on it. This guide covers the first ten minutes: what to check, what each line means, how to save an alert, and what your account gets today.

Open the workspace 6 steps · about 4 minutes to read

Step 1: Open the workspace

There is nothing to set up first. New accounts open straight on a QQQ chart in Simple mode, with the call wall, put wall and gamma flip drawn across price.

A sketch of the workspace's first screen, with numbered parts:
  1. Symbol and data label
  2. Context: the desk note
  3. Levels, each with a ? guide
  4. Alerts prompt
  5. Simple | Pro switch
  6. Help, from any screen

Check the label beside the price before you read a level. Demo means a fictional sample book, not today’s market; an account sees it until it has live data. When quotes run late, a Paused: data delayed bar says so, and new alerts and desk notes wait until the data recovers.

To look at SPY or another market, open the symbol menu next to the ticker, or press Ctrl K (⌘ K on a Mac).

Step 2: Read the desk note in Context

Open Context in the left rail for the desk’s note and today’s levels. Read it top to bottom before the open.

Thesis
The desk’s note for the session. It publishes at about 08:30 ET on trading days, for members. Members
Levels
Today’s key levels for the symbol, the same ones drawn on the chart. Until your account has live data, the chart shows a fictional demo book.
Setups
A setup appears only after it passes our testing. None have yet, so nothing in Setups has qualified.

If a part of the desk note says it is for members, your account does not have that access yet.

Step 3: Learn the three levels

Three lines do most of the work, and a shaded band adds context. Select the ? beside a level’s name on the chart any time for a short explanation with the chart’s own numbers.

Call wall

Call options stack up most at this price.

A modeled level, not a prediction that price will stop there.

In model terms: The strike with the most call-side gamma in the model: an area to watch as price rises toward it.

Put wall

Put options stack up most at this price.

A modeled level, not a prediction that price will hold there.

In model terms: The strike with the most put-side gamma in the model: an area to watch as price falls toward it.

Gamma flip

The model’s line between where moves can calm and where they can run further.

It describes the volatility regime, not the next direction.

In model terms: The price where modeled net gamma changes sign: positive gamma above it, negative gamma below it.

What changes at the gamma flip? · 3 min

GRC band · gamma concentration

Where call and put options cluster most.

Context for where gamma clusters, not a signal on its own.

In model terms: GRC means gamma concentration: the strike where the most gamma sits on the current book, calls and puts together, with a band around it.

Using the GRC band on a chart · 4 min

Levels are modeled context, not predictions or trade instructions. They are estimated from options open interest with an assumed dealer position, so they mark areas where options hedging may matter. They do not say where price will go. Methodology sets out each assumption, starting with the three reference points.

Step 4: Set one price alert

Save now · watches once your account has live data

  1. Turn on phone alerts. Choose Push to this device when the Turn on alerts? prompt appears above the chart, or under Phone alerts on your Account page. If the browser says notifications are blocked, allow them first: select the icon to the left of the web address, set Notifications to Allow, then reload.
  2. Save an alert near a level. Select the ? beside a level on the chart. Under Alert me near this level, pick how close (0.05%, 0.10% or 0.25%) and save.
  3. Or set any condition. Saved level alerts on your Account page take Above, Below, or Within % of a price. Within uses a band of 0.05%, 0.10%, 0.25% or a custom 0.01% to 1.00%, so you hear about a level before price reaches it.

When alerts start. A saved alert starts watching once your account has live data. From then on our server checks it at every new quote, and with phone alerts on it arrives as a push notification within seconds, even with Prism closed. Each one also lands in the workspace alert inbox. Until then, alerts are saved but cannot fire; your Account page shows your access.

Demo levels are practice numbers. While your chart shows the demo book, its levels are not today’s market, so an alert saved at one will not line up with live prices. Check it again once your chart shows live data.

Example

QQQ · Within 0.10% of 700.00. With live data, you get a push once QQQ trades within about $0.70 of 700.00.

Open Saved level alerts

Step 5: Try Pro when you want more

The Simple | Pro switch at the top right changes the view. Pro adds the gamma (dealer) map, the expiry matrix, near-spot exposure, the Net GEX pane and more chart layers. You can switch back any time, and both views use the same data.

The rail on the left moves between views such as Price and Context (the AI desk notes), and Pro adds more views. Open Setups to see the rules we track and test; none has qualified yet.

Step 6: Know the daily rhythm

On trading days, Eastern time. Each item says who it is for.

  1. 08:00

Pre-market plan Beta and member accounts

Levels and regime before the open, by push, and by email once your address is confirmed.

  2. 08:30

    Desk thesis Members

Publishes in Context at about this time.

  3. 09:30–16:00

Regular session Accounts with live data

Saved price alerts are checked at every new quote and pushed to your connected devices.

  4. 16:30

    Recap Beta and member accounts

The end-of-day recap, by push, and by email once confirmed.

Your Account page shows which of these your account gets today. Until it has live data, the chart shows a labeled demo book and saved alerts wait.

Where to learn next

Stuck mid-session?

Select Help (the ? button in the lower-right corner of the workspace), or press ? on a keyboard. On a wide screen it opens beside the chart, so you can read and look at the same time. It searches quick answers, shows what works on your account today and links these guides.
